JOB DESCRIPTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Do you have a strong desire to positively influence through education? We are seeking an experienced Assessor/Tutor with excellent problem-solving skills who can teach Health and Social Care, English and Mathematics and has experience of working with students beyond minimum school leaving age. As a professional tutor, your primary focus will be on teaching, inspiring, and supporting the development and progression of their minds, helping them to dream bigger. We strongly prefer tutors with good availability for in-person tutoring (and can offer many hours of tutoring, including during the daytime).
What you’ll be doing:
- Teach – As a tutor, it is your responsibility to realize our purpose. You will adjust your teaching strategy to meet the specific needs of every student, guaranteeing that they make steady improvement. You’ll be the one to mentor the students so they may make genuine progress and discover the love of learning.
- Inspire – Building strong relationships is at the heart of what we do. As a tutor, you will inspire all students to become fearless learners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will encourage them to embrace learning with confidence and curiosity. Safeguarding and member well-being will always be paramount in your interactions.
- Assessing: As a tutor, you will be assessing various vocational qualification depending on your area of expert. We are looking for an assessor who will be able to teach Diploma in Health and Social Care at various level. Adequate knowledge of English and Mathematics is essential
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working as assessor in any establishment
· Weekend availability
· Passion for teaching their subjects of expertise
· Ability to provide engaging and informative lessons that motivate students
· Ability to create bespoke lessons according to the student’s needs
· Caring, patient and empathetic
· Professional and diligent with a strong commitment to safeguarding
· Excellent in your communication, timekeeping, reliability, and reporting
· Convey and disseminate information regarding NVQ and other programme as required
· Conduct and organise training for beginners SKILL FOR CARE (Induction to work in health and social care)
· Conduct mandatory trainings for beginners/refreshers
· Prepare Diploma Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and 5 student for their award
· Assess Diploma Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and 5 in Health and Social Care
· Support student to achieve professional standard in Diploma Level 2, Level 3, Level 4 and 5 in Health and Social Care
